Kundenmeinungen (Wiedergabe von Amazon.de, s.u.): Durchschnittliche Gesamt-Bewertung: 3.0 von 5.00 Punkten (Insgesamt 1 Bewertung)
Not like the other 'Walking with...' series 3 von 5 Punkten If you have seen the other 'Walking with...Dinosaurs/Prehistoric Beasts' then your expectations for Walking with Cavemen are too high. This one seems to be on a very reduced budget compared to the others and the production reminds me of 'B-rate' Hollywood movies. The factual data offered is little and the coherency of the story of their evolution could have been better. I have watched my other 'Walking with...' series DVDs probably a dozen times or more and enjoyed them every time. I doubt I will watch Walking with Cavemen twice. It does however have a few rewarding moments and scenic shots that are quality. In synopsis: scientific value in the video is minimal, most knowledge can be gained in the silent frames in the bonus material section. The film relies on actors in ape-masks like the movie planet of the apes, and they can be hard to take seriously. The animations of prehistoric (caveman contemporary) animals are minimal. I'd give it a 2.5 but have to choose 2 or 3, so I am generous with a 3 star. |
